Utility costs need to be considered when relocating.
If consumers are relocating to Baltimore, they should know that a recent report found that this city has some of the highest utility costs in the country.

Baltimore was ranked first among U.S. cities with costly utilities, according to a WhiteFence.com report. The average person in this East Coast city pays $359 every month for these bills. That's a stark difference to the least expensive city - Los Angeles - where consumers pay $193 per month.

WhiteFence.com surveyed 21 major metropolitan areas for its utilities report. Two other California cities made the cut for least expensive utilities - San Diego at $194 and San Francisco at $208. Following Baltimore in costliness were Houston at $316 and Orlando at $312.

The website's survey took into account home size, usage, electricity rates, and weather - which seems to be the largest factor. Extreme weather conditions are likely what make Baltimore residents' utility bills so much larger than those who live in Los Angeles, WhiteFence.com indicated.

In addition to calculating utility bills when moving, consumers should also consider insurance rates and a general cost of living.ADNFCR-3511-ID-19869611-ADNFCR
