The housing market has room for upgrades and downgrades.
Depending on the age group or financial situation, many homeowners are looking to either upgrade or downgrade their current living situation. And while the housing market climate is not ideal for those looking to sell their homes, it is favorable to consumers looking to purchase.
Young adults who are tired of renting or want to escape a cramped condominium are browsing the housing market for an upgrade to a larger place. Conversely, many baby boomers and recent retirees are realizing their children have moved out and they no longer wish to maintain a large home anymore. Thus, these consumers are looking to downgrade to a more suitable home. Therefore, homeowners looking to sell their properties should scour the market for specific consumers who might be interested in these properties, according to the Chicago Tribune. And for consumers with a significantly larger budget who want their home to be unique, there are some properties on the market that stand out from the competition. CNN compiled a list of innovative homes that a select demographic of consumers would be interested in, such as the fairy-taled themed home in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. This house features 12 bedrooms, seven and six halves bathrooms and is 15,000-square-feet. The exterior resembles an old fairy tale castle including a gatekeeper's cottage and seven story-high towers. More News |
