Minneapolis is the city in the U.S. with the best available job prospects, according to Forbes.
As unemployment rates rise across the country, moving for employment reasons becomes a more appealing idea for a number of Americans. According to Forbes, Minneapolis may be the best destination city for those seeking work.
The source took into consideration cities with the fullest employment in the country, equally weighing having a diverse array of industries with open positions, the city's cost of living, the size range of hiring companies and a population with a high level of education. "The reason why Minneapolis is at the top of the list is a combination of factors," Jodi Chavez, senior vice president of Ajilon told the source. "First and foremost, the city records the lowest unemployment rate of all the cities in the ranking, brought about by the large companies in financial services, health care, retail and manufacturing that have picked up their hiring activities." Though the employment prospects in the area are positive, job seekers should thoroughly consider their options before making a move to the city. According to the Wall Street Journal, moving simply to find work may not always be the wisest decision. More News |
