Nicholas Cage has reduced the asking price on his Rhode Island home by more than $11 million.
Superfans interested in moving into Nicholas Cage's massive Middletown, Rhode Island mansion can now make that fantasy a reality.
Cage, a Hollywood actor known for an extensive career that includes films like "Raising Arizona", "Leaving Las Vegas" and more recently, "The Sorcerer's Apprentice", listed his estate for $19 million in 2008, only a year after he bought it for $15.7 million, according to the Providence Business Journal. The asking price for the 1924 brick and stone mansion, which includes a library, billiard room, conservatory and views of the Nelson Pond and Atlantic Ocean, is now less than half of what it was, falling to $7.75 million in December, reported Lila Delman Real Estate. Melanie Delman, the firms president, told the newspaper that Cage's quick decision to put the house back on the market made it difficult to identify its proper sale price in the current economy. “It’s a huge opportunity for someone that’s looking for luxury or high-end investment,” she told the paper. The average price for Middletown homes for sale is currently $369,900, according to statistics from Yahoo Real Estate. More News |
