Brinkley will sell Hamptons home

Christie Brinkley has put her waterfront home on the market, giving buyers the opportunity to move into the home of an ex-supermodel.

The North Haven, New York home was a fixer-upper when Brinkley bought it in 2004 for $7.15 million. It was originally built in 1843 and sits on 4.5 acres of land with 327 feet of beach, but after restoring it Brinkley is selling it for $15.75 million, reported AOL Real Estate. She also owns a number of other homes, including many in the Hamptons and one right across the street from this property.

Keeping up with all that real estate became a bit too much to handle, she told the Wall Street Journal. "My life is so busy between with my children, launching several new businesses and my philanthropy, I just don't have time." Brinkley fancies herself as a real estate investor, although she told the paper that she has had bad luck selling some of her other property in the current market.

With five bedrooms and 5,500 square feet of space, the New Haven home would require a lot of furniture to fill it up. Moving those items would be made easier through the rental of a moving company.
