The newlyweds decide where to live
Catherine Middleton became her royal highness and the Duchess of Cambridge on Friday, but she also became part of an extremely vast real estate empire, according to CBS. The Royal Family has an extensive portfolio of properties that ranges from Buckingham Palace, which is estimated to be worth $1.6 billion, to the more modest $76.5 million Clarence House.
The newlyweds, who moved to Prince William's home in North Wales last year and will remain there while he serves as an RAF search and rescue pilot, will continue to live there while the Prince completes his training, according to the Daily Mail. The couple, who have been seen frequenting local pubs and grocery stores, are staying in a farmhouse that the Prince pays $1,300 a month for, according to the news source. The couple will likely not relocate to a royal property for the first few years of their marriage in order to maintain their privacy as newlyweds. When they do move, experts believe they will relocate to a a six-bedroom house Prince Charles built at Harewood Park in Herefordshire. More News |
