Tuscon's new center can offer assistance to senior citizens
A new center in Arizona will offer 52 residences to seniors who require medical care.
The Oasis Assisted Living in Tuscon recently opened at Fellowship Square, adding a number of special care units to an already populated senior living community. The facilities are owned by Christian Care, a non-profit ministry that offers affordable living to the area's senior citizens. Residents at the Oasis would benefit from daily assurance checks, assistance with dressing and medication, monthly checks on their vital signs and weight, stand-by shower assistance, and an escort to dining areas and activities. The facility also features housekeeping, laundry, an on-site beauty and barber shop, and a 24-hour emergency call system. "The Oasis apartments are in a beautiful setting, with most of the 52 residences opening onto a grassy courtyard with a swimming pool, a rose garden and other amenities that add to resident enjoyment of the outdoors," said assisted living manager Tariequa Powell. Fellowship Square also offers housing to seniors who do not require special care. Moving services can help senior citizens organize a move and transfer their belongings to an assisted living center.
