Real estate in D.C. continues to sell
Despite the sluggish real estate sales across the nation, there are a few cities that people are moving to as quickly as possible, according to AOL Real Estate. Citing a report from the National Association of Realtors, the news site said that there are 10 metros that continue to sell at a steady rate.
Experts do not expect the market to recover for a few more years, but Washington D.C. is bucking the trend. Home prices have gone up 0.8 percent over the last year, according to the news source. Even though some experts consider San Jose an affluent city, homes can still sell there if they are listed properly, the media outlet reports. For other California options, Bakersfield is located between Los Angeles and Fresno, sharing their sought after mild climate. The reason this market remains a popular relocation destination is that homes are priced much more reasonably than in neighboring towns, according to AOL. Omaha, Nebraska rounds out the top ten list boasting a typical list price just over $150,000, according to the NAR. Homes spent an average 95 days on the market before being sold, which is 36 days less than the national trend, AOL reports. More News |
