Utah foreclosure market to be featured on reality TV show
While shows like "Flip This House" and "Moving Up" have been popular over the last several years, a new show is poised to take aim at the foreclosure crisis that is plaguing the housing market right now. Spike TV has just picked up six episodes of a new series, "Flipping Foreclosures". The show's executive producer will be reality TV heavy hitter Dave Broome, of "The Biggest Loser" fame. The program will revolve around two Utah-based entrepreneurs, Doug Clark and Mike Baird. Throughout the course of the episodes, the duo will take people that are potentially interested in relocating to one of these distressed properties and provide them with tips and advice. "The heart of the series is our enterprising, ambitious hosts who look to persevere in the financially precarious world of real estate," said Tim Duffy, Spike TV's senior vice president, original series. During the show, cameras will follow Clark and Baird as they attend housing auctions and catch their first glimpse of their newly purchased property. Sometimes the duo will buy a home without ever seeing it, and may even wind up having to remodel an old methamphetamine lab, among other troubled properties, said the show's producers. More News |
