Real estate photography is designed to enhance the look of an apartment or home
The real estate photography industry has become big business for sellers and agents, said a report.

Many professional photographers - the kinds that snap shots of fashion models for glossy magazines - are making extra cash shooting homes and apartments that are about to hit the market, reported the New York Times. Some have even become full-time real estate photographers, doing work for brokers who want to push new homes.

The photos accompany real estate listings for available homes. Top-notch pictures allow potential buyers to visualize themselves in their glamorous new home or apartment, real estate agent Suzanne Johnson told the Times.

Sellers and agents heavily scrutinize each photo, looking to maximize the aesthetic quality of the old space. Photographers use professional equipment and techniques to create a flawless shot, which can help soothe their client's concerns. "Brokers are the psychiatrists. We're kind of like the psychiatrists to the psychiatrists," photographer David Paler told the Times.

The flourishing industry can be a big asset to families who are looking to move. Real estate agents often advise that the best-looking homes attract more buyers and allow homeowners to relocate quicker. ADNFCR-3511-ID-19857134-ADNFCR
