Top cities nationwide for single men

For all those single ladies, rent.com has just released a survey regarding where the single men are relocating towards. Not surprisingly, the big cities New York, Chicago and Washington, D.C. all placed in the top ten, but the winner was Houston, Texas.

The Bayou City boasts affordability and a variety of first date options as some of its best qualities, according to the report. The report said Chicago has one of the country's lowest divorce rates, while the urban draw of New York City is irresistible for many.

Thirty-nine percent of single men rent, 14 percent still live at home or with friends and 47 percent pay a mortgage, according to the report.

Rounding out the top spots were San Antonio, Miami, Los Angeles and New Orleans. In a surprising twist, Boston was edged out by Baltimore and Philadelphia to complete the list. The two have affordability and cultural charm helping them out, according to the report.

For the ladies ready to pack up their moving boxes and find the right guy, anywhere on this list may be a great place to start.
