Actor Val Kilmer may be looking to sell his Pecos River Ranch so he can pay off the IRS.
Hollywood actor Val Kilmer has slashed the asking price on his New Mexico ranch to $18.5 million, almost half of what the property was originally listed for in 2009, reported AOL Real Estate News.
Kilmer, the star of popular movies like "Batman Forever" and "Kiss Kiss Bang Bang", listed his 6,000-acre Pecos River Ranch for $33 million in 2009 before lowering the price to $23 million in October. The ranch is 30 miles east of Santa Fe, and contains a 5,500 main house constructed from logs as well as a smaller guest house. New Mexico's Pecos River cuts through the property named for it, offering opportunities for trout fishing and wildlife observation, according to the Pecos River Ranch website. Kilmer may be looking to sell off the ranch and get moving as fast as possible, as the actor reportedly owes the Internal Revenue Service almost $500,000 for unpaid income taxes, the news site reported. New Mexico is a prime location for anyone looking to pack their moving boxes and make a fresh start in America's Southwest, as home prices in the state are expected to dip by 3.6 percent this year, according to ForecastChart.com.
