Dr. Phil's new luxury home is worth $29.5 million
Famed TV psychologist Phil McGraw, best known to talk show fans as Dr. Phil, is moving up in the world.
McGraw listed his old Beverly Hills home for $16.5 million last month, and while it remains on the market, he's already bought a new home in the neighborhood. This one is priced at $29.5 million and is substantially bigger than his old estate in both size and amenities offered. The 14,000-square-foot property rests on three acres of land whereas his old home was just 11,000-square-feet on less than an acre. Additionally, McGraw's new home features five bedrooms and 11 bathrooms, a detached guest house, and a pool. A spokesman for the family told AOL Real Estate that they needed the extra space for their "growing family," an odd proclamation given that both of McGraw's sons are grown and on their own. Most might think that at 59 years old, McGraw might consider downsizing to a smaller home. Other people whose kids have moved out might consider downgrading, and their move would be made easier through the use of mobile storage units.
