John Wayne's former California home is on the market
The former home of Hollywood legend John Wayne has just hit the market in Newport Beach, California.
Moving into the Western film star's former home is possible for a homebuyer with deep pockets. The property is listed for $2.2 million dollars, reports Zillow.com. The four-bedroom home comprises 4,448 square feet and is located on the fourth tee at Big Canyon Golf Course in Newport Beach. Built in 1973, the home has had two owners since Wayne and was last bought in 1998 for $895,000, says Zillow.com. The listing describes a two-story living room with floor-to-ceiling windows, parquet flooring and custom artwork, and a newly remodeled kitchen featuring two ovens and a butler's passage with a secret passageway. Wayne designed some of the home's elements himself, including a console in the garden. Anyone moving in would also enjoy a swimming pool encompassed by gardens and a second-level balcony offering unobstructed views of the golf course and surrounding neighborhood. Aside from moving into the home of one of the greatest film stars of all time, this home's new owner would also be moving to one of the country's most affluent cities. According to Portfolio.com, Newport Beach's per capita income is $86,586 - triple the national average. More News |
