The Kennedy and the Governor call it quits

After 25 years of marriage, four children and a gubernatorial stint in California, Maria Shriver and Arnold Schwarzenegger are terminating their marriage, according to the Associated Press. The couple moved out of the gubernatorial mansion in Sacramento, California, at the beginning of the year and relocated to Hollywood.

Shriver began contemplating divorce in 2009, but after her mother's death she reconsidered, according to TMZ. There were rumors that the action star had affairs and was difficult to live with. Their children are said to fully support the break-up and may have even pushed for it.

Shriver has moved into a Beverly Hills hotel, in what is believed to be a new page in her life. The only thing is, they cannot seem to stay away from each other. They were together on Easter, Mother's Day and even their 25th wedding anniversary, TMZ reports.

Schwarzenegger is jumping right back into his old Hollywood lifestyle, developing an animated TV show with famed comic book writer Stan Lee. He has also started scoping out new movie projects to star in, according to the AP.
